PreK-3 Curriculum overview
Religious Studies: A Child’s Garden of Bible Stories
Language Arts: Integrated instruction in letter recognition, alphabet sequence, rhyming language development – vocabulary, comprehension, sequencing of story events, and color recognition. Manuscript handwriting will be introduced.
Math: Number recognition, counting and geometric shapes
Social Studies:
Fall Semester– I’m Special, Families and Friends, Community Helpers, Transportation, Thanksgiving, Christmas Around the World
Spring Semester– Geography, Washington/Lincoln, Texas, Easter
Science:
Fall Semester– 5 Senses, Weather, Pumpkins, Fall
Spring Semester– Winter, Hibernation, Shadows, Dental Health/Nutrition, Spring, Animal Life Cycles, Oceans
Spanish: Introduction to simple Spanish vocabulary and appreciation of the language.
PE/Motor Lab: Explore and develop sensory motor attributes, coordinated movements, and fitness awareness used to increase students understanding of movement through skill practice. Help students see themselves as a unique child of God.
